Care at Home

Risborough Carers fully understand how difficult it can be to adjust to the idea of needing help and support with day to day living and, with this in mind, we take time to create a personalised care service that reflects your individual needs and requirements.

The first decision is often the hardest - which Care provider is right for me? What tasks will they will do for me? How do I know they have experienced and qualified staff? How many hours a day or week do I need? How does the whole care process work?

Our service not only offers practical support to assist with daily tasks but also provides the encouragement and emotional support that is often needed to remain living independently - with your dignity and personal choice being paramount to all that we do.

  Services we offer:

  Personal Care

Supporting and assistance with morning and night-time routine including oral care, skin care, continence care, bathing requirements, washing drying & styling hair, filing & painting nails.

Having a chat with someone can be the most important part of your day.

Whether you would like to spend time looking through family photo albums, watching the television, going out for short walks or visiting a coffee shop or garden centre, taking part in hobbies, watering the plants and much more, our Carers can provide you with the support and companionship to make your day more enjoyable.

Our Carers can assist you with light housework tasks such as laundry (washing & ironing), dusting, vacuuming, changing bed linen.

In addition, they can help you with meal preparation, taking into account your food preferences and desired meal times. They can also assist you with your food shopping when required.

We can also help with Pet Care, we can support with feeding, visits to the groomers and walking the dog.

The following is a step by step guide on how we can help you and what happens from the minute you pick up the phone to the moment the Carer arrives at your door:

Step 1: Initial Enquiry

 Step 2: Meet with you

Step 3: Arranging your care

During the first telephone conversation we will want to learn as much as possible about you or the relative you are contacting us about. You will have the opportunity to ask any questions you may have regarding our service. Then, we will arrange to visit you at home to discuss your care requirements in detail. This visit is free of charge.

The visit will be carried out by one of our Senior Management Team, all of whom are fully qualified, and will include an assessment of the level of support needed. During the visit, we will discuss and agree the contents of your Care Plan and confirm the cost of the service.

We understand the importance of providing you with regular Carers and will do our best to choose the most suitable staff to meet your needs. Your Care Plan will be discussed with each Carer so they know what to do when they arrived at your house. Carers will attend at the times requested and work within in the agreed Care Plan.

  Step 4: On-going support

The office staff will maintain regular contact with you to ensure that you are happy with the service and that you have the right level of support in place. We take great care to ensure that our Clients & Carers are compatible. If for some reason you are not happy with the Carer you just need to let us know and we will make the necessary changes.

Step 5: Quality Staff

Our Carers are highly trained and experienced in providing care at home, some of them have been working with us for over 15 years. They are thoroughly screened. Our staff training is rigorous and on-going, our Carers are regularly checked and supervised and we meet with them all on a regular basis.

Step 6: Providing a Friendly & Professional Service

Our main objective is to provide you with a comprehensive service of care and support of the highest quality within their own home. Out service gives you reassurance that there is always someone on hand to offer advice and support. We aim to promote our Client's independence, choices and personal dignity.
